Yassir Chediak é um artista com 25 anos de carreira, reconhecido por seu talento como violeiro, compositor, cantor, produtor, apresentador e ator. 

 

Ele é uma referência nacional na viola caipira, instrumento típico do interior do Brasil, e se destaca por explorar a sonoridade do instrumento em diversos estilos musicais brasileiros, como samba, forró, baião, e até rap e blues, criando uma mistura de ritmos que traz um novo olhar sobre a música brasileira. 

 

Ao longo de sua carreira, Yassir se apresentou em importantes espaços culturais, como o Espaço Cultural BNDES (RJ), Sesc Belenzinho (SP) e no Circuito Cultural Paulista. Também fez apresentações nos Estados Unidos, se destacando em locais como a Old Town School of Folk Music (Chicago) e Bona Sera (Michigan), onde recebeu elogios pela sua técnica e presença de palco. Sua música “Brasil Caminhoneiro” é tema do programa homônimo exibido pela TV Record, alcançando milhões de telespectadores. Yassir também foi apresentador do programa, ampliando sua audiência nas redes sociais e na TV.

 

No YouTube, seus projetos “Sabores Caipiras” e “Rádio Viola Caipira” alcançaram mais de 180 mil e 80 mil visualizações, respectivamente, com destaque para a abordagem dos ritmos e culturas tradicionais da música brasileira. Yassir fez parcerias com diversos artistas renomados, como Renato Teixeira, Geraldo Azevedo, Sérgio Reis, Almir Sater, Rodrigo Sater, Paula Fernandes e Jorge Mautner. Influenciado por sua família, especialmente seu tio Almir Chediak, violonista e criador da série de livros “Songbooks”, Yassir teve uma formação sólida desde a infância. Além de sua carreira no palco, Yassir é um importante pesquisador e defensor da viola caipira. Desde 1999, mantém o site Viola Caipira, que é uma importante fonte de referência para músicos e violeiros de todo o Brasil. Chediak, artista versátil, impacta mais de 100 mil pessoas nas redes sociais com conteúdos exclusivos sobre música, estilo de vida e culinária.

 

 Yassir Chediak também tem presença constante na TV, com músicas e trilhas sonoras em grandes produções. A canção “Estradas”, por exemplo, fez parte da trilha do seriado Carga Pesada (Rede Globo), e “Aroma que inebria” foi tema da novela Morde e Assopra (Rede Globo). No papel de ator, Yassir interpretou o violeiro na novela Paraíso (Rede Globo), onde gravou seu terceiro disco ao lado do cantor Daniel. Em sua discografia, figuram álbuns em destaque como Viola Brasileira Contemporânea (2022), Mundo Afora (2015), Os Violeiros da Novela Paraíso (2009), A Viola e o Mar (2008) e Estradas (2000). Yassir Chediak está, atualmente, em turnê com os shows “Roda de Viola” e “Renato Teixeira e Yassir Chediak – Um Legado”, encantando o público em todo o Brasil. Com essas apresentações, já atraiu mais de 50 mil pessoas presencialmente, com destaque para a região Sudeste. In recent years, Yassir circulated with different formats of shows, filling theaters such as Espaço Cultural BNDES (RJ), Sesc Belenzinho (SP) and units in the interior, where he also performed at Circuito Cultural Paulista. During a visit to the USA, he made presentations that were sold out and warmly received by the American public, in places such as the Old Town School of Folk Music (Chicago) and Bona Sera (Michigan). In 2020 and 2021, the artist dedicated himself to far-reaching musical lives and the recreation of the Viola Caipira portal.

Don’t be fooled by the title of violinist. The viola caipira, typical of the interior of the country, is the basis of his work and Yassir is a national reference in the instrument, but Chediak’s sound repertoire is vast and is not restricted to a musical aspect. The musician skillfully travels and recreates varied Brazilian rhythms and styles.

His song “Brasil Caminhoneiro” is the theme of the program of the same name, shown today by TV Record and reaching millions of people throughout Brazil. The artist has already hosted the same program, also reaching millions of people on social networks and TV.

The last international experience propelled the artist into a new creative phase. He experienced the unusual encounter between his Brazilian guitar and American rap and blues. The song “Estradas” was part of the soundtrack of the series Carga Pesada (Rede Globo), “Aroma que inebria” was the soundtrack of the main character in the soap opera Morde e Assopra (Rede Globo), his version of “Anunciação” (by Alceu Valença) he entered Paraíso (Rede Globo), a soap opera in which he played the role of a guitar player, in a duo with the singer Daniel. The participation resulted in the recording of their third album. Still as an actor, he played guitar characters in the series “Carga Pesada” and in the feature film “Red Carpet”. Alongside his father, filmmaker Braz Chediak, the musician coordinates a social project in Minas Gerais for 100 vulnerable children, teaching theater and music.
